Combating Climate Change
Della will always put Hawaiʻi’s people and environment first. Climate change threatens everything that makes Hawaiʻi special—from our reefs and coastlines to our farms and communities. The Maui wildfires showed what happens when neglect and underinvestment collide. Della will make the federal government a partner—not a barrier—in local climate solutions.
She’ll fight to expand renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and coastal-protection programs that create good-paying union jobs while protecting our Native ecosystems. That means investing in Native Hawaiian stewardship practices, restoring watershed protections, and treating land and water as public priorities—not private commodities.
